Julianne Moore

Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore is a Hollywood writer and actress who's talent has brought her recognition and critical acclaim. Sagittarius, she was born in North Carolina on 3 December 1960. She's one of the three youngest children of Peter Moore Smith and Anne Smith. Peter was a paratrooper. The Moore family is English, Scottish and of mixed heritage. Moore's father moved around often due to his job. It was it difficult for her to meet and keep friendships. Moore was able to start acting in plays as she travelled with her family members to Germany. After completing her B.F.A. in Theater at Boston University in 1983, Moore continued to pursue further studies. In 1983 she graduated with a B.F.A. Moore was a graduate of college in New York and started her career as an off-Broadway actress when she moved into New York. Moore first appeared on the episode The Edge of Night, that aired on TV in 1985. In 1986, she took on the role of Sabrina Hughes (Frannnie) and Frannie Hughes (Sabrina Hughes). This became her biggest break. She stayed on this show until 1988, when she received an Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990 she began her film debut with Tales from the Darkside: The Movie which she later called the worst low-budget production. The film was followed by Short Cuts (1993) and 3 Women (1997) both produced by Robert Altman. The critically acclaimed performance of her in short-cuts (1993) earned her several nominations. Moore was offered her first leading role on the screen in Safe (1995). The casting of Steven Spielberg's Moore as the lead in Jurassic Park: The Lost World which is among the top grossing films of 1997, marked a major turning point for her career. She was a part of Magnolia (1999) and was critically acclaimed, and was awarded a SAG nomination for her part. In 2002, she co-starred with The Hours which got nominated for nine Academy Awards with Nicole Kidman as well as Meryl Streep. Moore is also featured in The Forgotten (2004), Freedomland 2006, Shelter 2010, etc. She appeared in Non-Stop (2014). Moore has been featured in numerous movies and TV shows. Moore's most recent appearance as a leading actress is in the film When You Finish saving the World (2022). Her career as an actress in Hollywood has established itself, as well as her work as an author of children's novels. Her first novel was published Freckleface Strawberry in 2007 and it became a N.Y.T. The bestseller was later made into a movie, series, and even into a musical. Her 2013 book, My Mom is A Foreigner, was also a bestseller. Moore is a renowned actor and writer. The personal details of her life thus, is in the realm of the public domain. In 1984, she got married to John Robin and in 1995 they separated. Bart Freundlich and Moore had two children together. Moore's focus is on her family, friends as well as her career.
